Afrosiyob archaelogical site, Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.

The Afrosiyob Museum, an exhibit about Afrosiyob (ancient Samarkand), has items found from the excavation in the 1940s as well as re-creations, like this 9th century kiln.
The best thing about wandering the archaeological site Afrosiyob, ancient Samarkand, is that the puppy I’d encountered kept me company.
